Hogan stripers 4-6-2017

Returning clients Vince and Sal were onboard with me on April the 6th at Hogan reservoir. I knew we were taking a chance on the weather, but after watching the weather reports it seemed we would be able to get the trip in. I set out four rods and within minutes we had our first hook-up and Sal was reeling in the first fish of the day. The fish was 18 inches, so in the cooler it went. After another small fish we finally found some much bigger fish, as Vince reeled in a six pounder. It seemed that every time it was Sal’s turn he had the smaller fish, he finally caught fish that were close to Vince’s bigger fish. We had a few light sprinkles throughout the day. They let four good size stripers go back and they even caught a small mouth bass that went back. Then about 1:45 the sky couldn’t take it any longer and opened up on us, so we reeling things up and headed for the dock. They ended up keeping 12 stripers and letting four others go and also a small mouth bass. A great day on the waters of Hogan reservoir with two great guys. Thanks again!!
