Hogan stripers 4-14-2017

New clients James and Vall Elliott fished with me at Hogan for stripers on April the 14th. The weather was a cold 36 degrees and a fog was present on the lake in some areas. I was hoping the wind would not blow like it the previous couple days.  We started fishing and it wasn’t long we started getting strikes, but they were coming up short, and this kinda set the tone for the day. Finally we had one striper just rip the line off the downrigger and James was into the first fish of the day.We would get a fish here and there, the strikes we were getting was crazy as they would not get all the hooks. With three fish in the box we had a double and as they were nearing the boat at the same time instead of netting them separate I netted them together. After many more strikes on the day the couple landed two more stripers before the day ended. A great day on the waters of Hogan reservoir with a great couple of people James and Val, Thanks again you two!
