I switched things up and headed to New Melones with my Buddy Tim for some kokanee as the action has been great. After setting four rods at various depths we were soon marking fish and it was not long as we started putting kokanee in the fish bag. We found a pattern that we stuck with and had a good bite going for us. Then after boating six kokanee things started to die down but after making some changes we soon had our two limits of fat kokanee and one nice Rainbow trout for our efforts. We lost several and missed many. A great day on the waters of New Melones and with a great guy Tim.
