Sacramento River king salmon 10-21-2016

New Clients Harrison and his son Max were onboard with me on October the 21st. We started at daylight and just a few hundred yards into our first pass one of the back rods was slammed, however it came up empty and we also lost the lure as well. We continued on and a short time later the port side rod was slammed and we were into a fish, we cleared the other rods and half way to the boat the fish was gone, so we continued on and after many hours of nothing, we decided to stay late to keep trying, as I just sat down to get something to drink I was hearing crazy noise and as I looked turned back the rod behind me was pumping violently and burning line off the reel, again we cleared the other rods and Max was fighting the fish and I asked if he could feel him on their and he said yes and again the fish came off for some crazy reason half way to the boat. That was a tough one to take after trying so hard for so long, but that’s fishing sometimes. Thanks again to two great guys.
